Welcome to the
American Association of Riding Schools®.
The nation is full of
many excellent riding instructors serving all breeds of horses,
styles of riding, and levels
of performance. As our Web site suggests, the A.A.R.S. attracts
horse enthusiasts from outside the industry, thus serving as a
gateway - from the general population, through A.A.R.S. member
stables and, for some, on to specialized horse facilities. The
A.A.R.S. won the 2002 AIM (All Industry Marketing) Award from WETA
(Western & English Trade Association) for the "Best New
Product" in the horse industry. WETA representatives called the
A.A.R.S. "a department store window to the industry" and
"the closest thing we've seen to a Welcome Wagon approach to
bringing new riders into the industry."
We just decided that too many people
were enrolling in dance, gymnastics, karate, skating, and
kick-boxing. There are thousands of backyard stables willing to
introduce youth and adult riders to the diverse sport and hobby of
horses. It's time we gathered together under a simple set of quality
control guidelines so that we can become as visible as the schools
in those other industries.
If the novice market
interests you, if you own or are ready to own your own program, if
you are willing to offer non-breed-biased lessons that includes at
least basic english and basic western instruction, hit the
"E-mail us!" bar to the left and we'll send you a personal letter and an informative
brochure. After receiving it, you can decide whether
you would like further information about
becoming an A.A.R.S. member program.
Best regard,

Colleen Pace, President
